Physical Characteristics | the stem is striped and green, even if as time goes by reddish prevails. Its height may range from 20 to 100 centimeters. Its leaves are alternate with two very sharp lobes at the base; they may be up to 10 centimeters long and to 7 centimeters large. Flowers are small and greenish. They form dense terminal groups clustered in spikes. Male and female flowers are on the same plant. It blooms from July to October. Fruits are achenes, surrounded by triangular bracts and they may be from 2 to 6 millimeters long. |
