Geographic Range it is native to Eurasia and western North America; it is widespread all over the world.
Physical Characteristics annual plant, reproducing only by seeds. It grows in dense, from 8 to 30 centimeters high tufts; it often roots at lower nodes. Leaves are bright green, about 7 centimeters long. It flowers form April to June. Each inflorescence produces 80 seeds in average and there may be from 30 to 450 inflorescences in each plant.
Habitat wetlands, pastures, cultivated fields, roadsides.
