| Physical Characteristics | perennial frutescent plant with green, rigid, prickly stem, inserted in a ligneous, dark, horizontal rhizome. The green leaves are cylindrical and prickly. The inflorescence is green, not very dense, with yellow-greenish flowers. The fruit is an olive-green capsule. It flowers from June to August. |
