Physical Characteristics male is ashed gray. When it is flying, two dark strips under the secondary feathers can be seen. The final part of the wings is completely black. In the female, the underpart of the body is reddish.
Behaviour it is migratory. Before summer ends, it leaves toward South Sahara where it spends the winter.
Habitat moorland, reedbed, cultivated areas.
Food habits it feeds on little rodents and birds, sometimes also on insects.
Nidification the nest is built on the soil, and it is composed by grass and little branches. Female lays 4 - 5 eggs.
