Physical Characteristics | perennial plant, the stalk is ligneous with ascendent stems low, and corymbose up. Leaves are fleshy, glabrous, linear-cylindrical and the main have three little teeth on the tip. The yellow flowers are gathered in capitulum (3 centimeters in diameter), on empty peduncles, thickened and with a lot of bracteal scaly leaves; liguate flowers are 10-15 millimeters long, while the flosculous ones are 5 millimeters long. Fruits are achenes with reddish pappus. It flowers from July to October - November. |
Habitat | it's a halophile plant, generally spread in saltmarshes and rarely on rocks and on pebbly and sandy littorals. |
